The hunt for Red October has ended. The signature concept party conceptualised by the fun outfit called Red Ants and originally scheduled to take place during the tenth month of the year, finally took place on November 19, to the absolute relief of fans.Sexy girls and their companions filed into the awesomely decorated St John Ambulance Hall, located on Fitzblackman Drive, Woodbrook, where DJs treated party rockers to choice repertoire and ultimately served up the best vibes.
Of course, the timing could not have been better as patrons used the event to celebrate the Government's lifting of the curfew that formed part of the state of emergency, which is still in effect.Organisers tried to bill it as a curfew party in hope of retaining the concept, but growing uncertainty over securing permission from the police commissioner, as late as two days before the advertised date, scuppered plans by the promotions house.
So when the lone restriction was lifted on November 7, the promoters were back in place and their large fan base was ready for the thrill.Torrential rains on the day which caused much devastation in west Trinidad, seemed certain to spoil social plans for the night. But as mop-up operations began and roads were again passable, fun-lovers were out for the Red October experience.
