The Old Hi­lar­i­ans' As­so­ci­a­tion will host it's Sweet Six­teen for the Old Hi­lar­i­ans' Car­ni­val fete on Jan­u­ary 21, 2012, from 3 pm to 10 pm.Over the past few years the school as a venue for the event has posed lo­gis­ti­cal chal­lenges with re­gard to the lay­out, the kind of prepara­to­ry work re­quired, and the dis­rup­tion to dai­ly school ac­tiv­i­ties.Con­se­quent­ly the Fete Com­mit­tee has de­cid­ed to utilise a new venue for fete 2012, O2 Park in Ch­aguara­mas.

For 15 years con­sis­tent­ly, pa­trons have re­ceived val­ue for their tick­et price, and this year the or­gan­is­ers have gone to even greater lengths to en­sure pa­trons get their mon­ey's worth.Tick­ets cost $750, but there will be an "ear­ly bird spe­cial" for loy­al cus­tomers, a $50 dis­count be­fore Dec 31 or while stocks last.Pa­trons will con­tin­ue to en­joy the su­per pre­mi­um ex­pe­ri­ence, with John­ny Walk­er Blue Scotch Whisky, Möet et Chan­don cham­pagne, and a full ul­tra-pre­mi­um bar.

New to the Fete this year are the spe­cial­ty Nu­vo and Ron Za­ca­pa bars.The Sober Zone and won­der­ful non-al­co­holic bev­er­ages for the des­ig­nat­ed dri­ver re­main a must.The Old Hi­lar­i­ans al­ways pro­vide a "mouth wa­ter­ing" ar­ray of food, and this year is no ex­cep­tion.The renowned Cre­ole meal, bake and shark and cur­ried crabs and dumplings, the ever-pop­u­lar stewed horse and bar­beque pig­tail, as well as suc­cu­lent roast pig, ribs, fa­ji­tas are among the culi­nary of­fer­ings.

And it wouldn't be Bish­ops with­out Dr Roy Cape. De­stra and her band are card­ed to per­form, as are su­per DJs Ali­cia D Duchess, and Mr Car­bon. And there are a few sur­pris­es in store.Tick­ets can be ob­tained from fete com­mit­tee mem­bers at the fol­low­ing num­bers:
