The Old Hilarians' Association will host it's Sweet Sixteen for the Old Hilarians' Carnival fete on January 21, 2012, from 3 pm to 10 pm.Over the past few years the school as a venue for the event has posed logistical challenges with regard to the layout, the kind of preparatory work required, and the disruption to daily school activities.Consequently the Fete Committee has decided to utilise a new venue for fete 2012, O2 Park in Chaguaramas.
For 15 years consistently, patrons have received value for their ticket price, and this year the organisers have gone to even greater lengths to ensure patrons get their money's worth.Tickets cost $750, but there will be an "early bird special" for loyal customers, a $50 discount before Dec 31 or while stocks last.Patrons will continue to enjoy the super premium experience, with Johnny Walker Blue Scotch Whisky, Möet et Chandon champagne, and a full ultra-premium bar.
New to the Fete this year are the specialty Nuvo and Ron Zacapa bars. The Sober Zone and wonderful non-alcoholic beverages for the designated driver remain a must. The Old Hilarians always provide a "mouth watering" array of food, and this year is no exception. The renowned Creole meal, bake and shark and curried crabs and dumplings, the ever-popular stewed horse and barbeque pigtail, as well as succulent roast pig, ribs, fajitas are among the culinary offerings.
And it wouldn't be Bishops without Dr Roy Cape. Destra and her band are carded to perform, as are super DJs Alicia D Duchess, and Mr Carbon. And there are a few surprises in store.Tickets can be obtained from fete committee members at the following numbers:
• 728-6439 - Carla
