Knowing the value of a good dad

Entertainer Erphaan Alves is not yet a father, but he understands the value of the role of a good father. Alves says his life would be nothing close to what it is now without his father. Earl Alves has pushed his son in a positive direction for all of his 20 years of life. According to the young entertainer, his father has been much more to him than the person behind his musical success. “My father has always been a strong supporter in anything I’ve done, or anything that I’ve been interested in,” he said. As Father’s Day is celebrated on Sunday, Alves proudly pays homage to his father. “We don’t always agree on everything but what I admire and respect is the fact that he never holds any grudges against me,” said the In Your Eyes singer. He says he looks forward to celebrating his father on Sunday.
“I am really appreciative of the fact that my father has been able to juggle his job and manage me over the years. I admire that he has been able to give his work the sufficient focus and he has been able to give me what is needed also. To his peers, Alves says: “First thing, don’t be too hurry to become one (a father), and every once in a while show your appreciation for your father or the father figures in your lives.” And to the fathers who may not be taking their roles seriously, Alves says: “Certain things, like the presence of a father might be the reason behind the actions of some youths. But what I will say is that it’s never too late for fathers to change their ways.”
