Famous US magician to perform in T&T

Taking it to the extreme...
Renowned magician Jeff McBride will perform at the Centre of Excellence in Macoya on June 23 and 24.

 

Renowned US magician Jeff McBride is coming to T&T for the first time to perform in a two-day event titled The Extreme Magic Show. It’s carded to come off on June 23 and 24 at the Centre of Excellence in Macoya. Trinidad Broadcasting Company (TBC) representative Joel “Signal to Noise” Morris says patrons can expect an A-class production. TBC is the official network for the event. Morris says the network is proud to be associated with McBride’s first visit to T&T. McBride has set several records, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, and is also the winner of numerous awards, including recognition by the Academy of Magical Arts and the Society of American Magicians. He also copped the Magician of the Year title in the International Grand Prix of Magic. McBride’s biography says he possesses superior abilities in manipulation dexterity. He is famous for his  sleight-of-hands skills, as well as his master manipulation of the cards. 
 
 
The illusionist and fire eater can levitate on beams of light and one of his “must-sees” is his ability to generate snowstorms of rice paper from his hand. He has worked alongside Diana Ross, Tina Turner, and magician Criss Angel, among others. McBride is based in Las Vegas, Nevada and is the founder of the McBride Magic and Mystery School. McBride is expected to appear on the CNC3 morning show tomorrow, and will also be interviewed on 95.1FM, Sangeet Radio 106.1FM and Vibe City 105.1FM. Billed to share the stage are local magician Hugo Del Rio and comedian Learie Joseph. Tickets for the event are available at Guardian Media Ltd (GML),  St Vincent Street, Port-of-Spain, and a variety of other locations nationwide.
