French Connection
The 2013 Carnival band launches continue to roll out. Last Sunday, the band Paparazzi Carnival, a new band, presented its collection at the Queen’s Park Oval. The band showcased 11 of its 12 sections—Indecent Exposure, Entourage, Scandal, French Connection, Hot Hollywood, Obsession, Golden Globes, Star Struck, Red Carpet Ready, Uncensored and Opulence.
The sections were designed by Karlene Ballah, Leasel Rovedas, Ryck Alexander, Sandra Hordatt, Chad Wharton and Nathalie Black O’Connor. The section designed by Heather Jones—Celebrity Wedding—was not showcased. Each section will cater for 150 masqueraders, 75 per cent of which will be women. DJ Big Tunez, Richard Simply Smooth and DJ Dwayne will provide music on the road on Carnival Monday and Tuesday.
