Beauties jazz up Arima Fest

Tricia Lezama, Miss Shade Construction, was second runner up and also copped the Miss Physique prize.
Rayanna Monsegue is the new Miss Arima Borough Pageant Royale Queen. The 17-year-old beat 11 other contestants to win the coveted title, at the O’Meara, UTT Campus on Saturday night. The event was part of Arima Fest, a celebration of the 124th anniversary of Arima being declared Borough. Despite the early technical difficulties and the 80-minute late start, the show ran rather smoothly. The stage props included two white miniature buildings and a replica of the Arima Dial. Entertainment was provided by the Kiss Natraj Dance group and calypsonian Skatie. The event was co-ordinated by councillor Flora Singh.
