The House of Jacqui put on a fash­ion show with a pur­pose at the Ju­nior Sam­my Group Skif­fle Pan The­atre on Ju­ly 29. The event was held to as­sist mod­el Don­na De Gale- Kalloo with med­ical ex­pens­es. De Gale-Kalloo was di­ag­nosed with can­cer and has to un­der­go chemo ther­a­py treat­ment abroad. The 43-year-old mod­el has been work­ing in the fash­ion in­dus­try for the past 28 years and was pre­sent­ed with a cheque valu­ing $15,000, to help in her med­ical bills.

Six lo­cal de­sign­ers were present to por­tray their works. Among them were Zadd & East­man, Lar­ry Ram­per­sad of Ma­trix de­signs, Heather Jones, Dex­ter Jen­nings of Con­cept Stu­dio, Daronte and Judy's.

Much to the de­light of the au­di­ence, De Gale-Kalloo worked the cat­walk in many of the de­sign­ers' pieces.
