Thes­pi­an and play­wright Ray­mond Choo Kong is known for giv­ing the­ater lovers a load of laughs with his plays. His lat­est- Why Am I Mar­ried? Is ex­pect­ed to be no dif­fer­ent. Fresh from di­rect­ing the crit­i­cal­ly ac­claimed mu­si­cal The Sound of Mu­sic, Choo Kong promis­es pa­trons will be sat­is­fied with this new pro­duc­tion. He de­scribes Why Am I mar­ried as "filled with thought-pro­vok­ing top­ics which will re­flect the vi­cis­si­tudes of mar­riage like bal­anc­ing chil­dren, sex, de­cep­tion and emo­tions".

Choo Kong said the play is a saga of four cou­ples in tran­si­tion­al stages of their mar­riages who have de­cid­ed to take a get­away to a lux­u­ri­ous trop­i­cal is­land to spend qual­i­ty time with each oth­er. "Since all is fair in love and war, in­di­vid­ual is­sues will cli­max and these cou­ples' deep­est, dark­est se­crets are sure to come to light," says Choo Kong.
