Thespian and playwright Raymond Choo Kong is known for giving theater lovers a load of laughs with his plays. His latest— Why Am I Married? Is expected to be no different. Fresh from directing the critically acclaimed musical The Sound of Music, Choo Kong promises patrons will be satisfied with this new production. He describes Why Am I married as “filled with thought-provoking topics which will reflect the vicissitudes of marriage like balancing children, sex, deception and emotions”.

Choo Kong said the play is a saga of four couples in transitional stages of their marriages who have decided to take a getaway to a luxurious tropical island to spend quality time with each other. “Since all is fair in love and war, individual issues will climax and these couples’ deepest, darkest secrets are sure to come to light,” says Choo Kong. Why I’m Married run from September 7 to September 9.
