Mas Man: The Com­plete Work, pro­duced and di­rect­ed by Dal­ton Nar­ine, will hold a pub­lic screen­ing at 6 pm to­day at Nalis. The film ex­plores Pe­ter Min­shall's leap from de­sign­er in the Trinidad Car­ni­val to an artis­tic di­rec­tor of the open­ing cer­e­monies for three Olympic Games. "I don't think any­one could do Pe­ter Min­shall jus­tice with­out tele­vis­ing him live for a few decades," says colum­nist and film re­view­er BC Pires, "but Mas Man: The Com­plete Work comes close to do­ing it in 89 min­utes. I loved it. What has emerged is a gen­uine pic­ture of the artist in his con­text, ex­treme­ly well put over in a very short time."

The film has won nine awards at fes­ti­vals in Trinidad & To­ba­go, New York City, Las Ve­gas, Ohio (two), Los An­ge­les, Switzer­land, In­done­sia and South Africa. It has been screened in many coun­tries: USA, Cana­da, Ar­genti­na, Eng­land, Wales, Ire­land, Hol­land, Poland, Greece, In­dia, Chi­na, Thai­land, Africa, Aus­tralia. Sub­se­quent screen­ings through Oc­to­ber are sched­uled for fes­ti­vals in New York, Hol­ly­wood, Athens, War­saw and Mum­bai.
