Pan Trin­ba­go's long await­ed Youth Ral­ly orig­i­nal­ly sched­uled for dur­ing Pan Month in Au­gust will now take place on Sat­ur­day at the Queen's Park Sa­van­nah, Port-of-Spain. The event will be pro­duced by the in­ter­im Youth Com­mit­tee com­pris­ing Rudo Forteau, Krista Mar­tin, An­dre Lamy, Mitzy Allen, Venice Leza­ma, Ste­fon West and Kaidon Moore. Eight ju­nior steel­bands have been se­lect­ed to per­form.

They are St Mar­garet's AC School Steel Or­ches­tra, bp Rene­gades Youth Steel Or­ches­tra, St Fran­cois Col­lege Steel Or­ches­tra, Tokyo Steel Or­ches­tra, Op­tion One Steel Or­ches­tra, Old Tech/San Fer­nan­do West Sec­ondary and Star­lift Youth Steel Or­ches­tra. Six awards will al­so be pre­sent­ed to de­serv­ing stu­dents who have not on­ly ex­celled in aca­d­e­mics but al­so as pro­fi­cient pan­nists as de­ter­mined by their peers. Start­ing time is 1 pm and ad­mis­sion is free. Sim­i­lar ac­tiv­i­ties are planned for South/Cen­tral, East­ern and To­ba­go re­gions and dates and venues will be an­nounced when con­firmed.
