Af­ter be­ing de­nied host­ing the open­ing of the 2012 Na­tion­al Parang Fes­ti­val, which it had for the past 40 years, Arim­i­ans will still get the op­por­tu­ni­ty to feed their pas­sion for parang.

On De­cem­ber 8, Randy Glas­gow Pro­duc­tion will stage the Kings of So­ca-Parang in con­cert at the Ari­ma Velo­drome. This show will fea­ture the top so­ca parang acts, along­side sev­er­al of the most sought af­ter parang bands from Ari­ma and across the is­land. So­ca and ca­lyp­so mu­sic will al­so be rep­re­sent­ed with sev­er­al top artistes sched­uled to al­so make guest ap­pear­ances.

The undis­put­ed so­ca-parang king Scrunter, has al­ready been con­firmed for the show and is ex­pect­ed to de­liv­er a con­cert per­for­mance. Al­so on the billing will be fa­ther of the so­ca-parang art form, Crazy, who will sing his sem­i­nal Parang So­ca, which was re­leased in 1978, and is con­sid­ered to be the first song of the so­ca-parang genre.
