Stu­dio Jay Record­ing Ltd is launch­ing its Emer­gence Ex­pe­ri­ence, an ini­tia­tive the com­pa­ny says brings the re­gion's cre­ative in­dus­tries-mu­sic, film, an­i­ma­tion and fash­ion-un­der one um­brel­la. In No­vem­ber 2011, Ja­son Dasent of Stu­dio Jay record­ing was cho­sen by Caribbean Ex­port De­vel­op­ment Agency (CE­DA) to rep­re­sent T&T as part of a siz­able Caribbean del­e­ga­tion to trav­el to Copen­hagen, Den­mark, to at­tend WOM­EX (World Mu­sic Ex­po).

While there he says he saw a gap in the world mu­sic mar­ket for well-­pro­duced, non-­sea­son­al Caribbean mu­sic. It was out of this that the Emer­gence al­bum, which show­cas­es sev­en of T&T's emerg­ing artistes, all from a va­ri­ety of mu­si­cal gen­res, was born. The Emer­gence ex­pe­ri­ence will be launched at the clos­ing cer­e­mo­ny of the An­i­mae Caribe An­i­ma­tion Fes­ti­val on No­vem­ber 3.
