Founder of TNT Finder Gregory Fernandez said with the arrival of low-cost 4G internet access and the great update of smartphones it was destined to become the number one search destination in T&T. Fernandez was speaking at the recent media launch of tntfinder.com at the Marriott Hotel, Invaders Bay.
"Throughout the world today 70 per cent of people are using their smartphones to conduct local searches, Google has projected that mobile search will overtake desktop searching by the end of 2014 on a global scale. Anyone that has a business, product or service to sell, or anyone who has useful information that is used by the public, is a potential customer to us," he said.
Fernandez said since October 17, the site had had over 10, 000 visitors, and 700 businesses were already signed up. "Our platform not only provides a search service via the TNTFinder.com portal, but also provides beautiful mobile Web sites and apps that give businessess and individuals another medium to advertise and promote themselves and their services," he said.
Fernandez said TNTFinder.com started advertising via Facebook and Google ads and is a sponsor of the International Soca Monarch competition. Business owners can have a mobile Web site for $2,400 or directory listings for $500 a year. Community advertisements are free. News director Odeka O'Neil said shoppers could now feel safe, since there has been a reported increase in online shopping.
