In what will be its eighth full-length fairy­tale, DC Shell the­atre is set to stage a comedic lo­cal ver­sion of Rumpel­stilt­skin lat­er this month. The play is based on a script writ­ten and di­rect­ed by Crazy Catholic, (Shel­don Nar­ine).

Since 2004, DC Shell The­atre has staged lo­cal ver­sions of Cin­derel­la, Beau­ty and the Beast, Snow White, Al­addin, Sleep­ing Beau­ty, Red Rid­ing Hood and Ra­pun­zel.

Its lat­est pro­duc­tion, Rumpel­stilt­skin, will fea­ture a 16-mem­ber cast in­clud­ing Nar­ine as Wat­son, Nicole Chong Wong as Lau­ra and Re­bec­ca Elias as Ice.

The play will run from May 31 at 6.30 pm to June 2. On May 31, two peo­ple can en­ter on one tick­et priced at $160. On June 1 and June 2, the shows will be­gin at 7.30 pm and 5.30 pm re­spec­tive­ly. On both days there will be a spe­cial price of $50 for all Sec­ondary En­trance As­sess­ment (SEA) stu­dents. Gen­er­al ad­mis­sion tick­ets cost $85 for chil­dren un­der 12, $95 for teenagers and se­nior cit­i­zens and $100 for adults. Re­served tick­ets cost $95 for SEA stu­dents and all oth­er chil­dren, $100 for teenagers and se­nior cit­i­zens and $120 for adults.
