Dreamers Network (of artists) in collaboration with Playwrights Workshop, Secondary Schools Drama Association and Virtual Museum of Trinidad and Tobago is hosting LOL 2014, an interactive multimedia carnival experience.
The event continues today and tomorrow at the Creative Arts Centre, 97C Circular Road, San Fernando.
The multi-layered festival consists of workshops, lectures and video dialogues, monologues and short plays.
There are two daily sessions from 9 am to 11 am and 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm. For 30 minutes patrons will participate in an audio-visual presentation on culture and Carnival traditions. This will be followed by 45-minute interactive workshops from a daily rotation of sailor dances, robber talk, stick fighting and tamboo bamboo led by practitioners of the various disciplines.
A Short Play Festival will run concurrent to LOL's day-time schedule from 7 pm to 9.30 pm.
LOL is also to be filmed by Gayelle TV for broadcast at a later date.
