Patrons thrilled at I Am Woman 4
Alicia Jaggasar, celebrated lead vocalist, composer and cuatro player with the band Los Alumnos De San Juan performs a classical crossover hit from singer Andre Bocelli, Time To Say Goodbye.Fans got a taste of the old and new as Class Act Promotion hosted the sold-out event, I Am Woman IV at Queen’s Hall, St Ann’s last Sunday.
Patrons were thrilled by feature act Carol Addison alongside Denyse Plummer, Alicia Jaggasar, Judy Davis, Ru-Anne Cabralis and The Shiv Shakti Dance Company.
Special guests 3canal had the audience in a frenzy, and some stood up and cheered after Denyse Plummer sang One Moment In Time, hitting the high notes perfectly.
Appearing on the programme’s second half, Addison extracted from her songbook signature hits Born To Shine, Take Me Back and Imagine to set the stage for her musical ministry.
With accompanying vocals from her daughter Mercedes she stirred the patrons’ emotions using her powerful voice to deliver gospel selections from her current albums, amid calls for the people of T&T to acknowledge the “power of the Lord.”
