On the heels of the successful staging of Redemption The Concert, Tropix Entertainment and Rickel Services Ltd are hosting another concert featuring some of reggae's top performers. Forever Summer will feature Jamaica's Romain Virgo, Tarrus Riley, Bushman, Loyal Flames and T&T's Ziggy Rankin.
Forever Summer takes place on July 12 at the Jean Pierre Complex, Port-of-Spain. A spokesperson for the promoters said: "We're sticking to a location that would be easy for those who're travelling to the event. We're trying to cater to the needs of everyone and at the same time, we're once again guaranteeing a fantastic layout and an even bigger show than the last."
A release from the promoters said they were making a concerted effort to uplift the nation through music and this is the second event featuring artistes who are known for their positive lyrics.
Romain Virgo's remake of Michael Bolton's 1989 hit Soul Provider, has been getting a lot of radio airplay in recent weeks while Riley is a masterful artiste whose renditions have been described as soothing and soulful. Also included in the lineup is Bushman, an artiste with several hit singles in the "conscious vibe."
