Sixty-six individuals and steel orchestras will receive awards in 13 categories when Pan Trinbago Inc hosts its annual prize distribution and awards function.
The event, which will be staged for the first time in San Fernando, will take place at Naparima Bowl, on August 26 from 7.30 pm.
A release from Pan Trinbago said winners of the national Panorama, T&T National Steelband Music Festival–Pan Is Beautiful XII (all categories) and recipients of special awards will be honoured at the function.
The feature address will be presented by San Fernando mayor Kazim Hosein. Other speakers include Arts and Multiculturalism minister Dr Lincoln Douglas, Pan Trinbago acting president Byron Serrette and Pan Trinbago secretary Richard Forteau.
Apart from the formal proceedings, there will be entertainment by Joshua Jabari Bedeau, winner in the NSMF Soloist category, Pan Elders Steel Orchestra, winner of the medium category in Panorama and Darren Shepard & Fuzion, one of south's finest steel and jazz ensembles. The evening will end with cocktails.
