Ten years of Dhoom
Wednesday was a big day for actor Abhishek Bachchan. Ten years ago, on that day, Dhoom, Bollywood’s hit thriller heist franchise hit cinemas; Abhishek starred in all three films and said that the movie was a life-changing experience for him.
“10yrs ago my life changed! #10yrsofDhoom thank u all 4 the constant love and support. @udaychopra @TheJohnAbraham @Esha_Deol @SanjayGadhvi4,” Abhishek tweeted on Wednesday.
Dhoom also stars Uday Chopra, John Abraham, Esha Deol and Rimi Sen. Abhishek plays a police officer who solves the case of a motorbike gang that robs banks; Uday was casted as his sidekick, with John as the gang leader.
Directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and produced by Aditya Chopra under the famed Yash Raj Films, Dhoom spawned two other sequels: Dhoom 2: Back in Action, which came out in 2006, with Hrithik Roshan playing the antagonist, and Dhoom:3, was released last year, saw Aamir Khan in the villain’s role.
Aamir’s next role may be set up by Poonam Pandey. Unlike her counterparts, the Nasha actress accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, which she promised her Twitter fans she would do, and she did not disappoint.
The video showed her teasing, opening her white bathrobe, revealing a black and gold bikini. Before emptying the contents of the bucket on herself while standing in her bath tub, Poonam nominated the three Khans: Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who have 24 hours to complete the challenge.
At the time of writing, #BollyTalks did not see any videos from any of the actors.
