Every year hundreds of musical works are released in the musical sub-genres of calypso.
Annually, of these works, only twenty are adjudicated as being the best by the Top 20 Panel of Judges. The National Action Cultural Committee wishes to announce the Top 20 calypsoes for 2014.
The NACC also announced dates for auditions for the 2015 Carnival's Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition, the National Calypso Queen Competition and the Stars of Tomorrow Calypso Competition. The dates for all three competitions are Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14.
The auditions will begin at 11 am on those days and take place at NACC Offices, 40 Duke St, POS. Registration of participating artistes is in progress.

The NACC will present the singers of the Top 20 calypsoes with their awards at its 27th annual 'Top 20 Stars of Gold and Calypso of the Year Award Ceremony'. The Ceremony will take place at the Centre of Excellence, Macoya on Thursday, December 11.
