Jeffrey Iqbal adeptly plays the harmonium to complement his singing.

A virtual battle awaits patrons at this year's annual Guardian Group show. The Everybody Loves Raymond concert series takes place on March 7 at 8 pm at the Centre of Excellence, Macoya.

Rafi Mohammed, producer, said Jeffrey Iqbal, an American with South Asian parents, has expressed great delight “to come in Trinidad and to share the stage with your country's international star, Raymond Ramnarine."

Iqbal has done several performances in India's Honey Yo Yo Singh's Rawstar which skyrocketed him to international superstardom.

Rafi said Iqbal will come to T&T with his band which will include internationally-famed drummer, Jomy George.

Raymond comes with a new repertoire and a re-energized Dil-E-Nadan anxious to prove that they are as "good or even better than most when it come to traditional Indian music."

Iqbal said he hopes to unite with people, cultures, generations and nations through music. "I cannot wait to come to Trinidad for ELR and to join my friend, Raymond on stage. We are going to rock this country." (PR)
