From the gieNETWORK Team
This issue of the gieNETWORK Magazine is the final issue for 2010. Don’t worry though, your favourite magazine will be back out on January 3rd, 2011 so be sure to send in your articles and photos over the holidays. A New Year brings with it great things. Just as the Press Pass Competition and Internship has been a milestone for us, you may achieve many milestones in your own life. In the coming year you are going to meet new people, new challenges, new accomplishments and you may even be granted renewed strength. The gieNETWORK Magazine thanks everyone who has taken the time out of their busy schedules to contribute to the magazine. We hope that the year 2011 is indeed a successful one for each of you and that you conquer every challenge, leave room to welcome every opportunity and struggle to achieve whatever it is you set out to.
We have gathered so much from your contributions. It is as if we know your thoughts, your personalities and your struggles. We wish we could express how deeply we have been touched by your contributions and we wish we can reach out and assure each of you that everything is going to be okay. We have been where you are now and we know the challenges, the fears, the insecurities, the joyous moments and the sad moments you face on a daily basis. We know that you face a lot of negative things in society but you are the future of this nation. It is up to you to make a positive change. The only way you are going to do that is by being yourself and by standing up for what you believe in. Hold firm to the values and morals which your elders have instilled in you. These are the things that will take you successfully through life and which you will pass to the next generation.Always remember that it is of utmost importance to go back to your source and to take time to be alone and be considerate of the feelings of others.
With that said, gieNETWORK Magazine sends a special thank you to our sponsors who have kept the magazine going for more than a year. We would like to extend a special thank you to the TSTT Foundation for its initiative, partnership and sponsorship of the Press Pass Competition and Internship. Thanks to all who advertised with us. Thanks also to the Press Pass Correspondents who through their regular contributions and enthusiasm keep gieNETWORK Magazine going. To all the gieNETWORK champions, students, teachers and principals who have sent their work to us time and time again, we are grateful. To all of you, enjoy the holidays to the fullest. May the New Year bring with it many good things. Have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. Write on!
