One book I believe that everyone should read is Skinny B**ch. This book goes behind the closed doors of the meat industry and explains the horrible process that animals endure in order for human beings to eat meat. It also guides people on a path of healthy eating and it has influenced many people around the world - including myself, to become vegetarian. In the first three chapters of the book the authors explain how animals such as cows, chickens and pigs are brutally murdered. The chapters leave very littleto the imagination as you read how innocent animals are shocked, hung and beheaded in order to produce steaks, sausages etc for people.
In the latter half of the book, the authors go into great detail to teach you alternatives to eating meat. They discuss nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. The authors introduce readers to organic vegetables and they discuss "fake meats" that are tasty. They provide recipes and give nutritional facts about every day foods. Skinny B**ch is a wonderful book to read because of all the information on nutrition that it provides. After reading the book you will wonder why you ever ate junk food and maybe even why you ever ate meat.

Editor's note:
This is a great essay, Taylor. You certainly got my attention from the title of the book to its content. The details made me curious, and they made me want to read the book. The only suggestion I have to improve your book review is to watch your diction. For instance, animals are not murdered. They are slaughtered. Again, great work!
