Rebecca Black, a 13-year-old singer fromCalifornia, has found fame and glory from the leastlyricalsong ever written in modern day pop music. The song and video entitled "Friday" had 3000 views after its first day of release on 11th March, 2011. A week and a half later, I was shocked to see that the video had over 30 million views on youtube. Apart from beingcriticised as the next Justin Bieber,Clevertv.com reports that many are criticising the song as an "originalparodysong" because of its 'lame' lyrics. The song itself was linked multiple times over the past couple of weeks on my facebook news feed, with many of my colleagues claiming it to be extremely catchy but still very pointless.
The song geared in popularity as fake spoofs started hitting the Internet. One such video was claiming that it was an original song by Bob Dylan. The spoof song actually sounded entirely legit compared to its original. The song was written for Rebecca Black, by Clarence Jey a record producer from the United States. He is now a very lucky man since the song has grown in popularity because of its poor reviews.
The song itself starts with Rebecca waking up in the morning, and going through her routine on a Friday. Here are the lyrics for the song. Try and sing it with any possible tune in mind. If you fail, make sure search for it on youtube it to see howhorribleit actually sounds. Your version might be much better... lol.

[Rebecca Black - Verse 1]
7am, waking up in the morning
Gotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs
Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal
Seein' everything, the time is goin'
Tickin' on and on, everybody's rushin'
Gotta get down to the bus stop
Gotta catch my bus, I see my friends (My friends)
Kickin' in the front seat
Sittin' in the back seat
Gotta make my mind up
Which seat can I take?
It's Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin' down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend
Partyin', partyin' (Yeah)
Partyin', partyin' (Yeah)
Fun, fun, fun, fun
Lookin' forward to the weekend
[Rebecca Black - Verse 2]
7:45, we're drivin' on the highway
Cruisin' so fast, I want time to fly
Fun, fun, think about fun
You know what it is
I got this, you got this
My friend is by my right
I got this, you got this
Now you know it
Kickin' in the front seat
Sittin' in the back seat
Gotta make my mind up
Which seat can I take?
[Chorus]
It's Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin' down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend
Partyin', partyin' (Yeah)
Partyin', partyin' (Yeah)
Fun, fun, fun, fun
Lookin' forward to the weekend
[Bridge]
Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday
Today i-is Friday, Friday (Partyin')
We-we-we so excited

We gonna have a ball today

And Sunday comes after...wards
