Don La Fou­cade is the au­thor of the mo­ti­va­tion­al book IN FULL FLIGHT! He is the for­mer Man­ag­er, So­cial In­vest­ment, Cor­po­rate Com­mu­ni­ca­tions T & T, RBTT Bank Lim­it­ed and was specif­i­cal­ly re­spon­si­ble for co­or­di­nat­ing the RBTT Young Lead­ers pro­gramme, one of the Caribbean's most high­ly suc­cess­ful youth ini­tia­tives.He held the po­si­tion of Sec­re­tary of the RBTT Ed­u­ca­tion Foun­da­tion, work­ing to im­ple­ment ed­u­ca­tion­al projects around Trinidad and To­ba­go.Don has been de­liv­er­ing in­spi­ra­tional talks and work­shops around the Caribbean since 1999.

In 2000, for in­stance, he put his mo­ti­va­tion­al skills to work dur­ing the Miss World/Trinidad and To­ba­go Beau­ty Pageant.His pas­sion for in­spir­ing oth­ers has de­vel­oped over the years through his en­thu­si­as­tic in­volve­ment with youth in a va­ri­ety of so­cial are­nas. In 1989 he earned the "Most Dis­ci­plined Youth Link­er" award for his in­volve­ment in a Re­pub­lic Bank ini­tia­tive. He has al­so served as camp coun­sel­lor, di­rec­tor and board mem­ber of the YM­CA. Ever mind­ful of giv­ing back to his coun­try, in 2009 Don was nom­i­nat­ed to the board of Unit­ed Way Trinidad and To­ba­go which he ac­cept­ed and serves on to date.

In the area of Sport, he served as As­sis­tant Co­or­di­na­tor of the Ato Boldon Sta­di­um for the World Un­der-17 Foot­ball Cham­pi­onships in 2001. He al­so co­or­di­nat­ed the an­nu­al RBTT In­ter Col Foot­ball Com­pe­ti­tion for a num­ber of years and is a Di­rec­tor of the La Fou­cade Soc­cer Clin­ic.Don is al­so a strong sup­port­er of na­tion­al cul­ture and has rep­re­sent­ed var­i­ous groups over the years hav­ing re­ceived for­mal train­ing in Pub­lic Re­la­tions from ROYTEC. He is al­so a mem­ber of the ODYSSEY CON­SULT­inc team which is head­ed by Mr. An­tho­ny Watkins.

Over the years, he has been the fea­ture speak­er at nu­mer­ous grad­u­a­tions and sim­i­lar type ex­er­cis­es for both pri­ma­ry and sec­ondary schools, and has fa­cil­i­tat­ed pro­fes­sion­al de­vel­op­ment work­shops for sec­ondary school teach­ers and oth­er au­di­ences in­clud­ing uni­ver­si­ty stu­dents and lec­tur­ers.Don's long ser­vice in the work of shap­ing char­ac­ter, re­silience and self-es­teem in peo­ple, and his skill in do­ing so with a high de­gree of dy­namism and warm-heart­ed­ness has earned him the re­spect of many, a re­spect which he cher­ish­es and en­deav­ours to live up to dai­ly.
