Where are you right NOW? ‘Look at the big picture.’ Is ‘the image’ consistent with what you want or with what you are meant to have in your life? If it isn’t what YOU have always wanted, then don’t get annoyed or lose hope! It only means that you now have another opportunity to seriously look at your ‘internal positioning’ or disposition. You don’t want to remain or end up at a strange place confused about what could have been, should have been, or would have been.
Therefore, affirmative action on YOUR part is required. It may not be our fault, but many are ending up running to and from the wrong place at the wrong time and as you know, time is running on with or without us. For the human race, we have a pre-ordained destiny and the Creator (starter) has already started the race. While others seem to be well on their way, it’s a good time to ask ourselves, if we’ve been taking one stride forward, followed by three strides backward. Could this be the reason for our lack of possession of the things that we are also entitled to? It’s time again to get a move on! You can do it! Come on! Let’s go! On your marks! Get set!...HOLD ON!!! Where or who are you rushing to? ‘Don’t be anxious for anything!’ Do you have stated goals and dreams? It may be wise to think about what you’d like to receive at the finish line. What’s the prize or the upward call that motivates you?
Whatever or whoever it is, it’s a call that you can only properly respond to IF you’re in the right frame of mind AND not allowing yourself to be distracted by the obstacles that are part of the race. It may mean that you have to climb over some mental hurdles and take bigger strides. You can definitely achieve your goals if you remain focused! Leave the unwanted or unnecessary baggage behind and get ready to move forward with your life! If you just stand there, somebody who knows where they are going will run you over. There’s always great support out there, but our journey will always be punctuated by those on the sidelines who have their favourites.
Let’s not wait on others to validate our presence in the race of life. God ‘the starter’ already has each of us in winner’s row. A specific place or position, guaranteed to bring everlasting rewards. I believe that’s the best race to be in! With that knowledge, we shouldn’t lose! I say shouldn’t because knowledge alone won’t get us there and it is useless until applied. We need a commitment and an unwavering faith in God’s plan and purpose for us. That has to be foremost in our minds! Are you ready to start again? On your marks! Get set! ...Go! Feel the breeze in your hair (impossible for me to do!) and know that whoever is ‘timing’ us, can’t stop the time; but when we are finished, will have a record of our time, in record time!
This, ONLY IF we remain committed to our ultimate success! It can be a wonderful story to be told or sold and rest assured it will be there when we are old! Don’t be afraid to ask a coach or a mentor for help. Get ready to start sharing your winning stories with others. As I’m witnessing again and again, it can be a source of inspiration for so many who are not even sure if they started. It can also help others position themselves as they are supposed to. What’s your mental position now? Do you like what you see or saw? What could have been, should have been or would have been is this fact to be remembered always: When not in possession, be in position, because you have been positioned for possession! On your marks! Get set! GO!
