Have you ever wondered if you can get to 'the root' of what concerns you? Yes? How do you get to that 'real place' that would allow you to deal with what causes you sadness, apprehension and maybe even fear? If so, you're not alone. Sooner or later, we willingly or unwillingly find out, that 'the skin deep approach' yields no real answers, but it only succeeds in leading us down the road of anxiety and frustration. Put another way, the surface things can't handle the constant and necessary scrutiny. In an instant we recognise that 'instant gratification' is a mere illusion. Deeper answers are indeed needed and are available for anyone willing to take 'the route to the root'. Yes, for true answers, there's a specific pathway that must be used. It may not be as scenic or enjoyable as we may hope, because it requires us to move through the hurts or the 'dirt of life'. Muddy in appearance, because of what is buried within, this pathway or slippery trail is ideal for us as it is what will cause us to realise the inert value of this thing called life and the value of every relationship, even the not-so-good ones. If we persist on our journey to the truth, we will get the answers we seek and in the process, we may even discover our life's purpose.
I can imagine some saying "Isn't there an easier way?" There isn't, IF we really want lasting answers. God in his wisdom, allows us to go through situations so that WE can see what we're made of. Great, life-changing discoveries can be made! The journey through 'the route to the root' is a journey we can all face confidently. Today we can take a step of faith and embark on this journey; all the way trusting God that we'll get through the circumstances that confront us as none are a surprise to him. 'The route to the root' or pathway to our concerns will have detours and distractions of every kind. As we step forward confidently, we must remain focused and hopeful that 'this too shall pass'. The situations faced may seem to be lingering on forever, but travelling along 'the route to the root' requires us to periodically stop and dig deep. We may have to stop and uproot 'unforgiveness', past hurts and disappointments that may be keeping us back. It must be done, because it's the only way to truly go forward and be free of offense. I agree, it's a difficult road to follow; an easier said than done journey, but it is a must if we are to get to the places of freedom from strife and bitterness which don't belong in our lives. Many roads can lead to the same place, but we must firstly decide that we want to get to the destinations that allow us the liberty to be who we were truly created to be. There is a place called 'better!'
Some, I understand, may find where they are comfortable but we should all want to get pass the past with the understanding and learning that it sought to bring; more appreciative that life's lessons are being taught through every moment of the day. Subsequently we learn, that every moment brings with it, an opportunity for learning the deeper things of life. We are all on route to somewhere - Where, is what we all should want to know. Just lazing around without a hope will not get us there! Our futures according to God's will for us are waiting on us. Moment by moment, step by step, with God as our guide, we can get there. How do I know that for sure? It's how I write these inspirational articles! It causes me to journey through my own issues which at times are not easy to face, but very necessary. I can't attempt to take anyone anywhere unless I first believe that there's an uplifting destination yet uncharted that will bring the fulfillment we all desire. 'The route to the root' is set before us. Are you now ready to make the journey? If you have any questions or comments please email Don La Foucade at beinfullflight@gmail.com
