Seriously Chris Brown...you don't want people to judge you? There are so many things that people can say about you. While it is a sin to judge, it still does not stop people from saying what they have to say. After watching the video with wind turbines, military wear and a spaceship that looked completely bogus, I have so many things to say when it comes to this music video.
The video reeks of kindness, love and patriotism to the United States of America. Judging from Chris Brown's previous entanglements with domestic violence and questionable photos on the Internet, I am forced to believe that he is aiming for redemption. There are fans out there who have not forgiven Chris Brown. I know many people might want to strangle me to death because I am bringing up celebrity pages from the past, but a gruesome crime just doesn't leave an individual after a few years.
One perspective that I got from my colleague was that this was directed to his past girlfriend Rihanna, begging her not to pass judgment on his actions. With their off and on relationship it seems that some actions can be easily overlooked. I apologise to the Chris Brown lovers who are captivated by his lip sync performances. Even though his expressions are always energetic, I would never forget the subdued Chris Brown in a US court room.
The video is sweet though. If no one truly knows the history of this R&B pop star, he makes the viewing audience out pour high levels of sympathy and sorrow. If this music was a Greek drama he came pretty close to an on stage tragedy. I never liked Chris Brown before or after these incidents in his life. In this video he speaks about judgment that is essentially human nature. Does he think he can run and hide his actions?
I would admit that on a smaller scale I may have done some questionable things, but then again my life is not on the front cover of magazines, on billboards or shown on television. Whether or not he is seeking redemption, I do not like this video. It's too much considering his past. Move on and show people the genuine side of your creativity. This means no lip sync performances, Chris Brown.
