I was filled with sadness when I saw the behaviour of the Charlotte Street vendors. They have three days a week to sell and they are there every week of the year. Just because Port-of-Spain Mayor Louis Lee Sing insists on them keeping to the days they are given, they want to scream and shout louder than everybody else. I feel sad for what they are doing to our capital city.
I feel sad that they might discourage this mayor who is the brightest mayor we have had so far. I feel sad for those vendors who have no chance to sell while those loud-mouth Charlotte Street people have every week of the year. And finally I actually feel sad for the Charlotte Street vendors who are too blind to see that their behaviour and breaking their agreement will not bring them any success and they will hurt themselves and everybody else.
