Stick to vendors plan in 2011, Mr Mayor

Congrats to Mayor of Port-of-Spain Louis Lee Sing for his efforts in cleaning up the city. Unfortunately, it was too little too late. While the intention was great, it is unreasonable to try to move vendors in December. Hopefully, he will put his plan into action from January 2011: set them up at the “Salvatori grounds” and enforce the no street vending laws from January 1. If this is consistently enforced, there is unlikely to be a repeat of the usual Christmas fight with the vendors next December.
