On January 29 at the Chutney Soca Monarch preliminaries at the Samar Entertainment Centre in Penal, there was a K9 security unit with dogs (pit bulls) that were not muzzled. Those animals were tied close to the portable toilets and barking at everyone.
My brother was bitten by one of the dogs while going to use the facility. Luckily it was not severe, but a couple of teeth bit into the back of his knee. The K9 handlers tied the dogs to a wire fence and were just hanging around. This could have resulted in disaster had one of those dogs broken loose. This clearly shows that the promoters had a poorly planned competition with patrons of minimum concern.
