Daren Ganga has reached the pinnacle of success in the world of cricket. The injury that beset him prior to the finals of the Caribbean T20 tournament should have been an excellent exit for him from international cricket. Ganga cannot earn a place on the West Indies team and as a batsman it would be difficult to justify his selection on the T&T XI.
Denesh Ramdin has excelled as an under-19 captain and has the ability to establish himself in the West Indian team if he regains self-esteem and stops cutting near the off-stump (play it straight or through extra cover off the back foot). The mantle of leadership and the success of the team will propel a new era in this talented young man's outlook. Ganga, please step down-now. You have other state duties which may conflict with your position as a player.
