Looks like rum songs till we die

by

After hearing all those rum songs from soca artistes but more so chutney artistes over the years, I'm amazed that they seem to continue along that path year after year. Is it that our local "superstars" are bankrupt of ideas and new material is hard to come by? We continue to see deadly road accidents because of excessive alcohol consumption. Young children are destroying their future by drinking alcohol from as early as 11-12 years of age.

UWI students indulge in binge drinking. Family life is being destroyed as a result of alcoholic parent/parents. Yet our local artistes continue to glorify alcohol, even suggesting that it enhances male sexual performance. And now our Government sees it fit to offer the chutney soca monarch a $2 million first prize. What a slap in the face it was to see another rum song capture the chutney soca title.

I guess is stupidness till we die.
