No professional jobs for my son
To hell with doctor, lawyer, engineer, banker, businessman, architect, pundit and priest! With the amount of prize money now dedicated to the Carnival season, ranging from nothing less than $125,000 to $2 million, who cares about traditional, professional, executive or holy jobs.
I am going to start to prep and polish my youngest son to sing soca, chutney and calypso because, I tell you, with that kind of new money, he will be making more than most professionals and executives would make in their lifetime.
The only required qualifications are to ensure that he stays alive and produces jump, wave, wine, jam and chook tunes annually. No tertiary-level education and no verifiable work experience are necessary. It does not get any better than that! If this don’t bring home the expatriates, I don’t know what would!
God bless T&T!
