It was possible because the earthquake was viewed as a natural disaster not a supernatural one. The people caught in the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan have lost loved ones, they are homeless, many of them are injured, they are in need of food and water and heating oil. This is not the time to lay blame and point fingers. In difficult times, the right thing to do is to help our fellow man. Doctors Without Borders and the Red Cross are on the ground in Japan and you can make donations to them online. The Red Cross also has a bank account at Republic Bank in which you can make a deposit, however big or small.
"I hope from the bottom of my heart, that people will, hand in hand, treat each other with compassion and overcome these difficult times" -Japanese Emperor Akihito.
