We re­al­ly have a 'do noth­ing and blame oth­ers' Gov­ern­ment. Now we have the Min­is­ter of Pub­lic Util­i­ties, af­ter 10 months in of­fice, blam­ing the for­mer Gov­ern­ment for ne­glect of the Ca­roni treat­ment plant. What has this min­is­ter done about it in the last 10 months? It is his ne­glect over those 10 months that has caused the plant to de­te­ri­o­rate so as to threat­en the well-be­ing of the coun­try.

He had 10 months to pre­vent it and did noth­ing. He now says the plant will shut down very soon if he does not take re­me­di­al ac­tion. Why did he not take re­me­di­al ac­tion over the last 10 months? Let the Min­is­ter be warned, if the plant shuts down he will be blamed for his 10 months of ne­glect.
