What a sad world we live in where medical practitioners are willing to stand up and defend mistakes which cause the lives of their patients. Does the fact that a doctor has done 200-plus similar procedures mean that she can't make a mistake? Is this an indicator that we patients have to put up with the divine-like qualities our doctors and nurses which they seem to want to portray? What a sad day for them as they face their maker on a daily basis. How He cuts down those who would seek to elevate themselves above the rest.
This is a profession of service to others that itself brings status. Not wealth and fame, but the love of a patient for his caregiver, his prayers for the one who assists him in his time of need. But also, it brings the curse of a patient to the one who "kicks" him when he is down. So for those who would feel that they are doing a favour by doing their job, beware of the wrath of your Lord and get out of the profession and leave it in the hands of those who are there for the right reasons. I am sure you have enough money to tide you over as you do your career makeover.
