If Jack Warner has any intentions of ever becoming Prime Minister he will have to give consideration and great personal attention to what he is saying. Mr Nizam Mohammed like many citizens (except those who see his dismissal as some kind of racial victory) cannot understand why the President had to resort to the constitution to dismiss him from his post as chairman of the PSC.
Mohammed may have stepped out of line in the manner and the timing in making his disclosure, but he was drawing attention to something he considered was wrong and hoped the matter could be examined and put in some order. He did nothing that is serious enoughfor the President's use of any part of the constitution to resolve the matter or dismiss him from his position. The problem with most of our senior politicians and dignitaries is that they are far removed from reality and are more interested in their personal image and position. They always prefer to leave things as they are, to benefit their own cause.
Senior politicians must remember that they were elected to distribute their responsibilities and civic duties in favour of all our citizens and not encourage division by treating one racial group differently from the other. Mohammed's request for the President to explain his decision is not absurd but is merely keeping in line with what is expected within the ethics of good democratic governance.
