The recent spectacle of the Opposition condoning contempt of Parliament would have been cause for chagrin had that not been par for the course with the PNM. Remember Ronnie Williams and obscenities and Ken Valley's "you can run but you can't hide?" The sad fact is those people were elected and have a right to be there. They have however forfeited the right to pontificate on any matter. Their role should now be to attend as few sessions as possible (so that their income streams would not be adversely affected), spend a short while there, then depart and allow the country's business to proceed unfettered.
