When men and women who ought to be leaders run away from the exercise of leadership we attain examples illustrating why T&T has a leadership crisis. Who does Prof Julian Kenny want to fix the EMA? Surely not some less able person? But that is all that is left.
Kenny ought to have stayed at the helm of the EMA to sweep away its problems. Why walk away from the cancer if you have means and opportunity to remove it, to infuse respectability into the organisation and breathe health into it?
The EMA, for whatever is thought of it, requires transformation in a positive way. Evil prevails when good men and women choose to do nothing about it, choose to condone it, choose to run away from the responsibility of leadership.
