Can some­body please tell me why to­day's crick­eters have to use white sun­block (as­sum­ing that is what it is they have on their faces) in­stead of clear? Is this the lat­est fash­ion in crick­et?As far as I know, clear sun­block of­fers as much UV pro­tec­tion as the white one, and is by far more aes­thet­i­cal­ly ap­peal­ing. Apart from that, wouldn't white re­flect the sun's rays in­to the eyes as com­pared to clear? Not to men­tion that some of the play­ers look as if they are play­ing Red In­di­an or sailor mas at Car­ni­val.Maybe apart from hir­ing a sports psy­chol­o­gist for the team they should al­so hire a cos­met­ics ad­vis­er.
