It is iron­ic that Colm Im­bert would seek to "take front be­fore front takes him" and rush to blame his ju­nior min­is­ter for the pur­chase of the MV Su.What I find ridicu­lous, how­ev­er, is the rush by top PNM of­fi­cials who are now un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion by At­tor­ney Gen­er­al Anand Ram­lo­gan is the hol­low cry of "witch-hunt."Im­bert can­not blow hot and cold at the same time. In one breath he ad­mits all was not well and quick­ly points the fin­ger of blame at Roger Joseph-for­mer PNM Min­is­ter in the Min­istry of Works and Trans­port. In the oth­er breath, he cries po­lit­i­cal "witch-hunt" by the At­tor­ney Gen­er­al and deems the probe ma­li­cious and spite­ful. Which is it, Im­bert?If it is in­deed a witch-hunt, why is he so quick to dis­tance him­self as line min­is­ter from the fi­as­co and lay blame else­where?His ac­tions re­mind me of William Shake­speare's renowned quote: "Me thinks he doth protest too much."
