Is CL Financial alone in its financial greed? Across businesses managed privately and publicly, across institutions, greed is the culture. While all of these revelations on the dealings of CL Financial are surfacing into the public sphere, hosts of other private and public sector companies and institutions are lavishly doing what is being condemned by the public concerning CL Financial.
CEOs, managers, accountants, consultants, employees are cooking the books, utilising all manner of fraud to enrich themselves at the expense of others. What is being done to stop these other companies and institutions not under open public scrutiny? I'll tell you what is being done-not a damn thing. Greed ought to be treated as if it were a communicable disease. All of T&T's business and service institutions ought to be under investigation at this time. CL Financial purportedly represents 25 per cent of T&T's GDP and is not an angel. In a fool's world the operations of the other 75 per cent would be thought an angelical utopia. It is unwise to hold that belief.
