Mak­ing our pub­lic places eco-friend­ly and eco-sen­si­tive, and the on-go­ing sen­si­tis­ing of the na­tion to the long-term val­ue of be­ing eco-con­scious are things I en­dorse ful­ly. In case any­one didn't know, trees do much for the oxy­gen, re­strict dust and pro­vide shade. In this re­gard, it is laud­able to make the Pri­or­i­ty Bus Route en­vi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly. I am hop­ing that this is the first step to­wards de-pol­lut­ing that en­tire ur­ban dis­trict.

In ad­di­tion, I have al­so seen where a do­na­tion of some 2,000 poui trees will be plant­ed along the high­way to beau­ti­fy the en­tire road­way go­ing east. This is such a re­fresh­ing change from pre­vi­ous ad­min­is­tra­tions that bull­dozed every tree in sight and re­placed them with bricks, steel and ce­ment. I give the thumbs up to trees, green spaces, preser­va­tion of wa­ter wells a la Co­corite and green­ery.
