Maybe former Prime Minister Patrick Manning was apologising for foisting the People's Partnership Government on the people of T&T. Had he not called an early election the country would still be under his and the PNM's control and heading for developed nation status. And there would not now be a state of emergency and curfew. In other words, the country and its citizens would be in a much better place than they are today.
So in fact Manning has us where we are today, stuck with Kamla Persad-Bissessar, Jack Warner, Roodal Moonilal, Suruj Rambachan and, as if those were not enough, Devant Maharaj. Now that you have apologised, Patrick, you need to do penance: Say to Keith Rowley 100 times that he is the best PNM leader ever.
