In layman's terms, a vote of no confidence suggests that there is no assurance that the person can perform his or her duties effectively. Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley has filed a motion of no confidence in Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar. Political observers say that while Rowley is aware that the motion will be comfortably defeated in the Parliament given the Government's 29-12 majority, he simply feels the Prime Minister does not have any control over recent national controversies and is in over her head.
The real problem here is that Rowley is afraid to admit that we the people of T&T have lost all confidence in him as Opposition Leader and as leader of the opposition PNM. He is the one that is in over his head since he has no idea how to lead his party. So that the PNM has continued to fail this country with its lack of transparency and accountability. May 24 will mark two years since we the people have demonstrated that we have no confidence in the PNM, including Rowley.
