The British press re­port­ed Tues­day that the price of diesel in the UK has risen to £1.50 a litre. That trans­lates to $15.80 a litre or ten and a half times the price we pay in T&T. Of course, our cur­rent gas and diesel prices are ab­solute­ly un­sus­tain­able over time but the na­tion­al com­mu­ni­ty needs to know and un­der­stand what an amaz­ing ben­e­fit and sub­sidy these prices are. And to use them wise­ly and spar­ing­ly for both per­son­al and busi­ness re­quire­ments.
