Some years ago, for­mer Prime Min­is­ter Bas­deo Pan­day said that pol­i­tics has a moral­i­ty of its own. Many were scep­ti­cal then. But now, look­ing at the fol­low­ing, I un­der­stand him ful­ly:

• The Prime Min­is­ter and her trav­el as­sis­tant.

• The cred­it card is­sue with Min­is­ters Ver­nel­la Al­leyne-Top­pin and Dr Fuad Khan.

• Mar­lene Coudray ap­point­ed may­or by one par­ty then switch­ing to an­oth­er with­out re­sign­ing.

But I won­der, is it a moral­i­ty is­sue or is it a lack of prin­ci­ples?
