The decision of the PM to go partially with the CCJ may have to be reviewed, in light of widespread informed public sentiment. Perhaps it was always her intention for a complete break and that the partial approach was meant to ignite pro CCJ support in all parties, particularly the PNM Opposition, now openly committed.
In any event, it is now clear that with public support from all, except perhaps the menacing COP, the revised position will be a complete break with the Privy Council and full adoption of the CCJ. The PM may yet take the partial proposal to Parliament for a comprehensive debate in the public interest.
