The law­suit against Calder Hart is long over­due and wel­comed. This man has tak­en ad­van­tage of the tax­pay­ers of this coun­try for too long. In his con­tri­bu­tion to the bud­get on Sep­tem­ber 2009, I dis­tinct­ly re­mem­ber for­mer At­tor­ney Gen­er­al John Je­re­mie in­di­cat­ing that any­where cor­rup­tion was man­i­fest­ed, he would deal with it.

He went on to say that the fight against cor­rup­tion had pit­ted his min­istry against "col­league min­istries, friends and po­lit­i­cal op­po­nents." So imag­ine my ex­cite­ment at his an­nounce­ment, on­ly to have it fall flat in com­ing months. Hats off to Anand Ram­lo­gan, an At­tor­ney Gen­er­al who is tru­ly com­mit­ted to seek­ing the in­ter­est of the tax­pay­ers and all T&T cit­i­zens. I salute you.
