The lawsuit against Calder Hart is long overdue and welcomed. This man has taken advantage of the taxpayers of this country for too long. In his contribution to the budget on September 2009, I distinctly remember former Attorney General John Jeremie indicating that anywhere corruption was manifested, he would deal with it.
He went on to say that the fight against corruption had pitted his ministry against "colleague ministries, friends and political opponents." So imagine my excitement at his announcement, only to have it fall flat in coming months. Hats off to Anand Ramlogan, an Attorney General who is truly committed to seeking the interest of the taxpayers and all T&T citizens. I salute you.
